Each system has a progression of elements that follow a particular order. These are Vision to Requirements to Design to Development & Deployment to Acceptance Test Plans. This occurs in the Original System. The overlap is when this same set of elements is repeated with a lag for the Geographic and Functional Expansion. For example, when the Original System is in "Design," the Geographical and Functional Expansion may be beginning its Vision stage.
