The Port of New Orleans surpassed the half-million mark for twenty-foot- equivalent units (TEUs) handled in a 12-month period for the first time. Port President and CEO Gary LaGrange made the announcement during the 29th Annual State of the Port Address hosted by the International Freight Forwarders and Customs House Brokers Association of New Orleans. LaGrange also anticipates continued growth in the container market, along with a strong breakbulk and project cargo market. |
