The Labor Department reported January 6 for-hire trucking gained 1,400 jobs in December while overall payrolls increased by 156,000. This increase followed a strong increase of 204,000 payrolls in November. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported an increase of 14,700 trucking positions and 11,700 positions added in the warehousing and storage sector. |
