The Committee for the Study of Performance of Bridges was formed to analyze the performance of bridges that received funding in the Federal Innovative Bridge Research and Construction (IBRC) program. The study was directed by Congress under the FAST Act of 2015. The committee was charged with four tasks: analyze bridge performance, analyze the utility of the materials and technologies used in the projects, recommend how life-cycle costs of bridges could be reduced, and identify research needed to reduce life cycle costs. This is a report of the study's findings. |
