The University of Louisville's Logistics and Distribution Institute has developed a monthly economic indicator to assist in monitoring market well-being and aid in investment decisions. This indicator, named the Logistics and Distribution Index, uses data primarily from four transportations modes (highway, air, rail, and river) important to the region's logistics and distribution economy. Currently, the indicator covers the greater Louisville area, but there is intent to expand coverage to a national scope. |
