Agricultural exports in Virginia reached an all-time high in 2012 totaling $2.61 billion, an increase of 12 percent from 2011. The largest exports from Virginia included both traditional agricultural items such as soybeans as well as forestry products such as wood pellets and the top three export markets were China, Canada, and Morocco. Virginia has seen an increase in exports each year since 2010 where they implemented a strategic plan to grow the state's agricultural and forestry product exports. |
