The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) Secretary Ann Schneider has announced the creation of the Illinois State Freight Advisory Council to support IDOT's coordination of freight multimodal planning. IDOT is accepting nominations from freight experts of all transportation modes until October 15, 2013. After the Council is established, an immediate action will be to review IDOT's recently released Long-Range Transportation Plan and the Freight Mobility and State Rail Plans. |
