Together, representatives from seven states and several freight-rail constituents formed the Great Northern Corridor Coalition in early 2014 with an objective of improving freight-rail movements from the Pacific Northwest to the Midwest. Scheduled for completion in the fall of 2014, the Coalition is currently analyzing the corridor to identify barriers to goods movement. The outcome of this analysis will identify specific projects that the Coalition intends to undertake to improve the flow of goods along the corridor. |
