With a goal of reducing heavy-truck crashes, researchers have completed a project that looked to identify the causes, locations, and other factors related to heavy-truck crashes in Iowa. Findings from this study show that posted speed limits and weather conditions affect heavy-truck crashes; however, researchers did not find any correlation between driver age, license endorsements, license restrictions, license type, or gender and crash frequency. |
