Summary of Nationwide Trends
- Congested hours increased slightly (1 minutes longer), and both the travel time index and planning time index worsened slightly (by 1 point). All measures compared the most recent 3 months in 2012 to the same 3 months in 2011.
- 4 of the 19 cities (21%) showed improvements in all three measures.
- 6 of the 19 cities (32%) showed worsening conditions in all three measures.
- 9 of the 19 cities (47%) had stable or mixed results among the three measures.
