This figure is a flowchart of a progression of the communications chain in ITS devices. At each of the different components or links is placed a red X signifying all the different places that are potentials for failure. These points include Device Driver, Communications Devices, Contracted Communication Service, Agency Owned Communications Hub, Local Controller, and ITS Device along with all the links connecting these elements.
