While the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's Wireless Roadside Inspection research project is near completion, the Drivewyze Company (a weigh-station bypass and screening-technology company) is beginning its own four-state field test of Level 3 electronic inspections, or "e-inspections." The program will be under way in spring of 2016 on lanes in Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania in cooperation with enforcement departments in those states. |
