FHWA Administrator Gregory Nadeau recently visited the states of Iowa, Oregon, and Washington to discuss their freight economy which thrives on a variety of industries including soybeans, steel, and seafood. Two-thirds of the freight moving through Iowa moves by truck, while in Portland and Seattle, along with every other city on the West Coast relies on I-5 as the backbone to moving people, goods and freight. |
