USDOT announced 100 percent completion for the recall of nearly 16,000 Volvo heavy trucks that had a serious steering defect that could have caused the truck driver to experience a complete loss of steering. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) collaborated with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to oversee the short nine month recall to ensure every identified truck was removed from the roadway until it was repaired. |
