USDOT released its Jason's Law Truck parking survey report last year that confirmed there is a significant shortage of safe truck parking. Since the report was published USDOT has held several stakeholder meetings to find solutions to the shortage including improved access to real-time information technologies and data, more funding, and better coordination among state, regional, and local partners. States with freight plans will be able to apply for funding under the FAST Act program. |
