The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) released the 2017 "Top Bottleneck List". Atlanta's I-295 / I-85 "Spaghetti Junction" Interchange topped the list, followed by I-95 / SR-4 in Fort Lee, NJ and I-209 at I-90/I-94 in Chicago, IL. The ATRI rankings attempt to quantify truck congestion as a function of average speed through the bottlenecks and the volume of truck traffic. |
