Lake effect snow can accumulate rapidly and dramatically change roadway conditions in Northeastern Ohio. Poor road conditions combined with high speed was significant factor in 800 winter crashes over the last 10 years. To help reduce the number of crashes, Ohio is implementing permeant variable speed limits (VSL) during the winter of 2018-2019. |
