In an update to their report "An Analysis of the Operational Costs of Trucking," ATRI used financial data provided by motor carriers to analyze trucking costs. In 2017, trucking costs increased six percent to $1.69 per mile. This increase was driven by higher driver wages, increases in gas prices and the growing costs of purchasing and maintaining of newer truck models. |
