In an effort to address the large number of brake system violations found during routine inspections, 57 jurisdictions throughout Canada and the United States participated in Brake Safety week, September 16-22, 2018. During Brake Safety Week, 35,080 commercial vehicle inspections occurred. Of those inspected, 4,955 were found to have critical brake inspection items which required removing the vehicle from service. |
