Starting Monday, December 2, 2019, Autobon began testing its autonomous truck on the Jane Addams Tollway in Illinois. Though there will still be a driver onboard, GPS and other sensors allow the truck to monitor road conditions and respond. Autobon sees autonomous trucks as a way to make truck driving an easier, more enjoyable job not as a way to replace drivers. |
