Description |
Inconsistent movement of freight on the roadways continues to cause significant delays in the supply chain. In order to compensate for those inconsistencies, shippers either build slack in to their schedules or have alternatives ready in case delays are substantial. Building in these contingencies is inefficient as it takes up resources and increases the costs of products. The main objective of this report is to provide clear and tractable guidance for planners and analysts regarding truck travel time reliability. |
