Typically, February is the lowest month for volumes and rates. Leading in to February 2020, volumes have remained steady, however rates are down. Dry van rates dropped an average of 30-40 cents per mile in January. Refrigerated truck rate declines have been the most dramatic, falling 10 percent during the last week in January. On the other side, flatbed truck rates actually rose in January by 28 percent. |
