Oregon's recently initiated Commercial Electric Truck Incentive Program (CETIP) looks to improve air quality through the distribution of $20,000 vouchers to assist in the purchase of commercial zero-emissions vehicles with a minimum gross vehicle weight of 10,001 pounds. Funding for CETIP was obtained through the federal Congestion Management and Air Quality (CMAQ) program. CETIP looks to facilitate the replacement of 200 high-polluting medium-sized diesel vehicles with zero-emission alternatives within 1 to 2 years. |
