While there are continued challenges at the Port of New York/New Jersey due to Hurricane Sandy, cargo deliveries are improving following a week of recovery. Although much of the air traffic was suspended due to the hurricane, airlines attempted to minimize delays by scheduling cargo shipments around the storm and temporarily refusing perishable shipments. Further, airlines and railroads are returning to service in many areas in the region. |
