The union representing East and Gulf Coast longshoreman has completed negotiations for a six-year agreement with port operators and shipping companies. These negotiations began more than a year ago and threaten to stop work at East Coast ports in the end of 2012. The agreement will go into effect following the completion of the remaining negotiations with local unions. |
