Los Angeles Harbor Commissioners have approved a $500 million project to facilitate the movement of goods from the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach inland by rail. In addition to increased efficiencies, this project will assist in reducing truck trips on Interstate 710. Construction is expected to begin in late 2013 and will generate approximately 1,500 jobs over three years. |
