The Massachusetts Department of Transportation's (MassDOT) Industrial Rail Access Program has awarded $2.85 million matching grant funds for freight-rail projects across the state. The Industrial Rail Access Program was created in 2012 to provide grants to railroads, rail shippers, and municipalities that identify a public benefit gained through improved rail transportation usage or economic growth that would be realized through improved access to rail assets. |
