The Georgia State Transportation Board has voted to adopt a Statewide Freight Corridor Network. Roads on this freight corridor network are to be exempted from Congressional Balancing related to transportation dollars spent on the route. The Freight Corridor Network was developed from the 2012 Georgia Statewide Freight and Logistics Plan that highlighted the most viable freight routes, the 50 highest truck volume locations, and most critical freight bottlenecks in the State. |
