The Institute of Transportation Studies at the University of California, Irvine has published research investigating methods to build more advanced models for monitoring truck travel through the use of weigh-in-motion and inductive loop detectors. Using these technologies, the model developed under this effort was able to predict 35 different trailer body types for FHWA class 9 semi-tractors. |
