The United State Maritime Administration (MARAD) has released the first of a two-part study to understand effects that the Panama Canal expansion will have on the American transportation system. Scheduled to complete in 2015, the expansion of the Panama Canal will allow larger vessels access to East and Gulf Coast ports and could cause a shift in shipping patterns across the country. |
