Directors from the Oregon Department of Transportation and Iowa Department of Transportation attended a Senate Environment and Public Works Roundtable to discuss the steps the Federal Government can take to help states invest in projects to improve freight movement. Among other topics, roundtable included discussions on: the Federal role in freight transportation, the importance of a multi-modal transportation system, the prioritization of freight investments, and how to maintain the safety and security of freight infrastructure. |
