New Video from the Michigan DOT Explains Freeway Work Zone Speed Limits to Motorists

Description:	The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT), in partnership with the Michigan State Police (MSP), developed a video to help motorists understand Michigan's approach to setting speed limits in freeway work zones. The video describes the "Where Workers Present 45"speed limit, which applies when workers or active equipment are within about one vehicle width of the line of barrels in the work zone. It also advises that if there is a concrete barrier wall separating workers from traffic, then the speed limit is 60 mph.
