Implementation Assistance Program
SHRP2 created an Implementation Assistance Program (IAP) to help State departments of transportation (DOTs), metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs) and other agencies implement SHRP2 products into their business practices. These awards were made competitively over 7 funding rounds between February 2013 and April 2016. The table below is provided to help agencies interested in deploying SHRP2 Reliability products connect with the agencies who participated in the IAP program to learn about their experiences.
Participation Levels
The Implementation Assistance Program provided three levels of participating for State DOTs and other agencies to implement products developed under SHRP2.
Proof of Concept Pilot
Opportunity to help evaluate the readiness of a particular product. |
Lead Adopter Incentive
Available to help offset costs associated with product implementation and risk mitigation. |
User Incentive
Available to accomplish a variety of implementation activities. Examples include conducting internal assessments, executing system process changes, and organizing peer exchanges. |
Assistance will vary by product, depending on the status of product development and the steps required to make the product market-ready, considering current usage, risk, and geographic saturation.
